Monthly vs. Individual Lessons: Students can either choose individual or monthly lessons (2+ months minimum). The main differences are in pricing and lessons times. For students looking to change vocal habits, build strength, increase their range, improve their technique or become an overall better singer, I suggest for monthly lessons. For students preparing for an audition or recording session, in town for a few weeks, or unsure if they will benefit from lessons, I suggest individual lessons. Both monthly and individual lessons are subject to the 24 hour cancellation policy.
Monthly Lessons: For monthly lessons, there is a 2-month commitment. Monthly lessons are based on 4 lessons per month. For monthly lessons, you will have a regular lesson day and time that is weekly and will be “your” lesson time. Example…Monday at 4:30pm. They are consecutive weekly lessons without breaks. Makeups are allowed and I will work with your schedule as long 24 hours notice was given. Contract lesson payments are paid monthly via Venmo, Apple Pay, or Zelle.
Individual Lessons: Individual lessons are scheduled one at a time. They do not need to be consistent (although it is beneficial to have some consistency). There is no set lesson time and is subject to availability. It is structured different than weekly lessons because they are generally for auditions, upcoming recordings performances, to refine minor technique issues, learn melodies/fix wrong notes, or work on short term goals. This is a great choice if you have a specific piece you are preparing, if you travel often, are unsure of your schedule, or simply prefer flexibility. Individual lessons are subject availability and a booked usually a week in advance. They are confirmed once the lesson is paid via Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay. They must be paid 24 hours in advance or the lesson will be removed from the calendar.

One Time Registration Fee:
When you sign up for lessons, there is a $35 one-time registration fee per student when starting lessons. This covers a binder of tips and exercises that has been compiled especially for Scofield Studio as well as two sets of vocal exercises for practicing outside of lessons.
Group Lessons: I teach small group lessons to friends, couples or families. The cost for group lessons varies on the number of students. A hour-long group lesson for two people would be $150 ($75/each). A group lesson for three people would be $180 ($60 each). A group lesson for four people would be $200 ($50 each)
Home Lessons: I do teach home lessons if they are more convenient for your situation. My availability is limited for home lessons. The pricing is the same as studio lessons plus an additional travel fee. Minimum travel fee per lesson is $20. The travel fee is calculated from the distance from the Bundy Ave/Santa Monica Blvd (RT).
Need Based Discounts: I understand that lessons are a financial commitment and can be expensive. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Jocelyn for questions and availability.
