About Jocelyn

The owner, Jocelyn, is an independent vocal and music teacher, as well as a professional singer and recording artist. She has been teaching for 10 years and performing for 15 years.  One of her greatest joys as a teacher is to help singers find their voice and unique sound while building a foundation of lasting vocal technique and fostering their overall musicianship.  Jocelyn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music Education and studied choral education, early childhood music, jazz and classical voice, as well as vocal pedagogy. She is also certified in the Gordon Music Learning Technique specializing in ages birth through five.

Her students include  actors, comedians, professional singers,  beginning/amateur singers, singer/songwriters, public speakers, and instrumentalists.  During lessons, she tailors her instruction carefully to her students needs, emphasizing:

• Healthy Vocal Technique
• Range Extension/Utilization
• Use of Breath and Support
• Tone Quality
• Projection
• Genre Stylizing
• Performance Techniques
• Practice Techniques
• Music Theory/Ear Training
• Overall Musicianship
